From the first scan to the weeks after birth, our obstetric team looks after you and your baby. Delivery and inpatient care are available 24 hours a day.

Antenatal care
Regular check-ups, scans, blood tests and advice through each trimester, including nutrition and safe exercise. Pregnancies after fertility treatment are followed closely by the same team that treated you.
High-risk pregnancy
Twins, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems, a previous caesarean or miscarriage, and pregnancies in women over 35 need closer monitoring. We plan extra scans and visits and work with specialists when needed.
Labour and delivery
We support normal delivery whenever it is safe for mother and baby. When a caesarean is needed, it is done by experienced obstetricians with an anaesthetist and paediatrician on hand.
After your baby is born
- Recovery checks for you, including pelvic floor advice
- Help with breastfeeding
- Newborn checks and vaccinations with our paediatrician
- Support for low mood or anxiety after birth
Common questions
What does antenatal care include?
Regular check-ups, ultrasound scans, blood tests and counselling to monitor the health of mother and baby throughout pregnancy.
Do you support normal delivery?
Yes. We aim for normal delivery whenever it is safe for you and your baby.
When should I book my first visit?
As soon as your pregnancy test is positive. An early scan confirms the pregnancy is in the womb and dates it accurately.
